Join the Manasota Weavers Guild for a hands-on professional development workshop designed to introduce art teachers to weaving and spinning in the classroom. Participants will explore the history and vocabulary of weaving, observe a floor loom and spinning wheel demonstration, and learn basic weaving techniques using a small loom. The workshop will also include lesson planning, ideas for classroom projects, information on making or purchasing looms and equipment, sources for materials, and available grant opportunities to support fiber-arts education.
