Member Exhibition Registration

Art Educators, members of the Sarasota Art Education Association, will have an opportunity to exhibit their artwork at Art and Frame Sarasota.  Members are limited to 2 artworks, ranging in media from drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculptures, fibers arts, digital works, and crafts. Entry fee is $10 per artwork. All artwork must be original.

Sarasota Art Education Association Member Exhibition Guidelines

 

Art Educators, members of the Sarasota Art Education Association, will have an opportunity to exhibit their artwork at Art and Frame Sarasota.  Members are limited to 2 artworks, ranging in media from drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculptures, fibers arts, digital works, and crafts. Entry fee is $10 per artwork. All artwork must be original. The following criterions will be used on a Likert Scale (1-4) 1= emerging and 4 = exceptional to aid in adjudication.

Creativity: presenting an original idea through varied media – bringing a unique perspective or an innovative approach to the subject matter.

Emotional Response: communicating and connecting with the audience – effectively evoking feelings or thoughts.

Technical Merit: mastered media – skill in craftsmanship, ability to control and achieve desired effects.

Composition: referring to the use of art elements and principles of design to guide the viewer’s eye through strategic placement.

Presentation: overall cleanliness of the work – nothing detracts from the viewer’s experience when engaged with the artwork.

Best in Craft = $75

The show will be installed on Friday, November 28th, 2025. Participants are asked to deliver their entries by 5:00pm on Friday at Art and Frame Sarasota or to make arrangements with Angie Artman-Scott via email at angela.artman-scott@sarasotacountyschools.net. Work will be taken down on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 (participants must make arrangements to pick up artwork from Art and Frame or contact Angie).

The opening reception will also be the SAEA Holiday Party, please feel free to bring a guest or family member on Friday, December 5th from 5:30pm-7:00pm, light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served.

 

Artwork requirements:

1)      Can be 2-D, 3-D, and Craft work

2)      2-D must not exceed 28 X 32 (framed without glass) and wired for hanging

3)      3-D and craft items must not exceed 5”D X 5” W X 5” H and be able to stand independently

4)      The wire is a least 3.5” below the top of my 2D artwork.

5)      My name, phone, title, price is on the back of each piece.
