Join SAEA for a professional development focused on investigating Japanese art and integrating Asian art resources into your curriculum. Participants will explore The Ringling’s Asian Art Collection through a guided tour, engage in reflective haiku writing with guest educator Joanna Fox, and create Japanese-inspired artwork during a hands-on Oshibana activity.
In the afternoon, educators will share Asian art resources and lesson ideas to support curriculum planning for the upcoming academic year. The workshop concludes with small group sharing, closing statements, and SAEA giveaways.
